My Kenmore 7.2 Coffin Keezer

After months of reading and looking at other keezer builds, I got permission from the boss lady to do a coffin keezer. I must credit Jester and cgolden101 among others as none of these ideas were mine. I will say that if you do not have access to a mitre saw and table saw, you need to make a new friend. I bribed my neighbor with homebrew for use af is tools and there is no way I can conceive doing this project without it. I had little faith in my ability to do this project but once we we started it went really well. Let me know if you have any questions and Ill try to answer them, but like I said I didn't reinvent the wheel, just tried to build something that went with my existing bar and the boss would see as a permanent fixture.

My cabinet was to big as we drank a little too much brew while thinking this through so cut of about 4 inches so it looks a little different.

I used oak floor planks leftover from when I built our house for the countertop.

Stained it up only to realize I somehow used birch plywood for the dummy doors instead of oak. Needless to say it looked pretty crappy and had to remake the doors.
Finished up the dummy cabinets with some metal straps and did a brick backspash to match the brick backsplash in the bar.

Stole the tap idea from this board and found them from micromatic pretty cheap. Everything else a got from kegconnection. I've got a mess inside as I haven't figured out where I want everything yet but have 2 beers going and 1 more carbing. It is way too easy to refill your mug. Still have to figure out a drip tray is my first idea was too small, for now a towel will do.

Looks great. I got the same freezer sitting in my basement waiting for me to do something. I love the look of the false doors in front.

Still trying to figure out how to do mine with a collar so I can fit 6 kegs but still have it easy enough to add/remove kegs as needed. Taps on the front make it a bit hard to put new kegs in from the front, taps on the top and then I have issues with having to move the back of the keezer away from the wall every time I want to open it.

I used decent sized castors from hd and the unit rolls really easy. I mounted it to the top boards of the base to save a little bit of height which might be of concern for you but with a collar on it, personally I would go with the coffin so you can get as closed to the unit as possible when loading.
