Here's a recipe I came up with for a wheat beer. Please let me know what you think. (my reasoning behind the Williamette is it tastes like a Weissbier I had in Germany)
Ingredients Amount Item Type % or IBU
6.00 lb Wheat Dry Extract (8.0 SRM) Dry Extract 75.00 %
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) Grain 12.50 %
1.00 lb White Wheat Malt (2.4 SRM) Grain 12.50 %
0.75 oz Tettnang [4.50 %] (60 min) Hops 11.6 IBU
1.00 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (5 min) Hops 3.8 IBU
1 Pkgs Weihenstephan Weizen (Wyeast Labs #3068) Yeast-Wheat
Beer Profile Estimated Original Gravity: 1.055 SG (1.044-1.052 SG) Measured Original Gravity: 1.010 SG
Estimated Final Gravity: 1.013 SG (1.010-1.014 SG) Measured Final Gravity: 1.005 SG
Estimated Color: 8.2 SRM (2.0-8.0 SRM) Color [Color]
Bitterness: 15.4 IBU (8.0-15.0 IBU) Alpha Acid Units: 3.4 AAU
