My first home brew

My first homebrew was a Citra IPA brew in a bag. It has exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to brew again. Well actually I already have brewed again, so I can't wait to try the next batch!!!

Hate to tell you about the disappointment when you drink the last of it! LOL I drank the last bottle of my first brew and went looking to see how many I had left and I had none.

Congrats! That first one really is great especially if you like it! What is fermenting now?

Unfortunately it was a very small batch. I got a 12 pack of 12 oz'ers and 4 bomers. I still have 3 12'ers and the 4 22's. It's going fast. I have a couple more small batches going and a blue moon clone for the wife. I'll be brewing a bigger batch on the weekend for myself.

Grrr, Just prior to reading this post, I pulled a pint of Kolsch I made a while back. This was a crystal clear beer that I've decided to make my house beer. I knew I've been hitting this keg a lil hard since the Blue Moon "lite" that I have sitting next to it seemed to taste like water.

I was just thinking this keg has got to be nearing the end. I decided to have a second pint and when I pulled the handle, I got nothing but foam and muck.

It was awesome down to the last full glass. It sucks knowing it'll be after a move before I get to make any more. It's a ****ty feeling when you're out of a good batch. Worse yet when you don't have anything in the closet to replace it with.
