In my head I'm back in Austin, TX
Well here it is. My Fat Tire clone is delicious, even only 4 days after bottling and warm. Thats when this pic was taken. Now it is 10 days in bottles and I am sipping on number 2. Luckily my SWMBO is pushing me to start kegging so this will be the last batch of bottles... and these wont last much longer!

How has this hobby not spread to the masses? The world may never know.

Well, partly because we are a society of "instant gratification", which is not a good trait in homebrewing, which requires a fair bit of patience. It is much quicker to go to the grocery and pick up a case of BMC.
The second reason, IMHO is the stigma associated with alcohol. Anyone who goes to the great lengths of formulating and making their own must have a serious problem and must be a subversive individual.
In layman's terms..... they just ain't smart like us! :cross:

Also because only a tiny portion of people that do anything popular do it sincerely in the first place.

Home brewing just isn't marketable yet ;)
