I just finished my first mash using MME from member Silver_Is_Money

I can say it hit my nrs spot on. Predicted PH was 5.42 and meassured PH after mashing was 5.41

My grainbill was for a NEIPA with approx 20% flaked adjuncts.

It seems it takes the oats and wheat additions into the right account contrary to the other calculators I've tried.

That's possible but very unlikely. You are probably the victim of confirmation bias. You must be very careful when taking pH measurements (and in life in general) to avoid this pitfall.

I will keep measuring as no grain nor grainbill is the same. I'm also aware these calculators are more used as guidelines.
Also I need to use this expensive meter now.
Taking all the necessary precautions to make sure its properly calibrated and stored.

I measured 2 times. One time in the middle of the mash and one time at the end.
Actually more interested in PH post boil then anything.
The other calculators I tried had quiet a big difference +/- 0.2 ph to MME.
Maybe im not using them right but so far MME is spot on.
Will keep reporting.

Just finished the 2nd brew with MME.
Predicted PH 5.37
Actual PH 5.32
Little less oats and wheat in it this time

Finished another brew this time I decided to try give BruNwater another try as I got more experience.
Predicted PH by BruNwater 5.18
Predicted PH by Mash Made Easy 5.40

Meassured PH post mash. 5.5!

Seems to me that Mash Made Easy is much more in the ballpark then BruNwater, not sure what I'm doing wrong with BruNWater...

I have a data point now myself as I just got a pH meter. But I've not done stability test, and I was taught a data point of one meant std dev of infinity. There's no point in reporting it either as it made no sense to me. I'm taking more data before making any decisions on anything.

I do hope you find what works for you.

If you shared the details of this batch it would provide a better understanding of where the descrepencies are. Batch size, grain bill and brewing water information are helpful.

I'm in no way biased and just reporting my ongoings. So far MME has been more accurate then any of the other programs i've used and i'm quiet intrigued as to why. I understand every single author of those soft that are available are dedicated and not doing it for the profit and me myself am just trying to find the best solution.

All of the above brews are NEIPA's. I could share every gist separately if people are interested.
But the basics are

Golden Promise as a base malt.
I've went from 20% flaked wheat and Oats to 0% flaked wheat and oats but replacing them with Chit malt up to 30%.
A very small addition of melanoidin malt up to 3% was in some of the beers.
They all had about 3% acid malt.

I do have to add, I meassure my PH after the mash. Maybe the PH predicted by BruNwater is about during the mash?
I meassure after because that's what most important for me ATM and from my understanding it's quiet difficult to meassure the PH during the mash as it's ever so changing.
