So I just started getting into brewing, I bought myself a deluxe brewing kit from northern brewers. My dad was asking my gf what to get me for x mas. She said idk but he wants to start brewing. I told him I ordered some stuff to brew. He was nervous. He spends winters in Fla so we did x mas early bc he's going tomorrow. After I brewed my first batch I opened up my present and he got me another brew kit! All I'm thinking is awesome!! Now I can do 2 batches at once. The kit he got me has a primary and secondary so I'm set.

He's awesome, I'll miss him while he's in Fla for 6 months but what a great present. And I just got done telling my gf I would like to get another setup to make more beer.

Merry Christmas and happy hanukkah to all fellow brewers even though it's early. I'm in the Christmas spirit!

My dad is an obligate carnivore.

My family eats a normal, balanced diet until my dad arrives to visit. Then we pick up large chunks of meat and get the coal stoked. And we keep our fingers away from the gnashing teeth until he's done. He's nature's perfect eating machine, apparently perfected over years of evolution (etiquette notwithstanding).

He loves my homebrew, and he's a cribbage fiend, so I love having him here 2 or 3 times a year. But it drives my wife nuts.
