My cascade harvest

I live in kcmo, plant came up early due to weather. I got 2 lbs 8 oz. They are now in the process of drying. I am going to cut the vine down and let it grow again to get a second harvest in September. Does anyone know why the last cone on the vine grows extra leaves out of it..?

Mmmm. That is a beautiful thing! Love your trellis setup. I have no idea about the last cone but it's certainly unique. Brew something nice and fresh for us!
