I am on this site lurking at least once a day but never really post. Or forget to post, lol. But I have some time so I thought I would share my Cappuccino Stout that I've been drinking for about 2 weeks now. Here is the recipe for a 2.5 gallon batch

3 lbs Light DME
½ lbs Chocolate Malt - grains
¼ lbs Roasted Barley – grains
¼ lbs 120L – grains
¼ lbs Lactose
SafeAle S-04 yeast
1/2 oz East Kent Goldings Hops (50 min)
1/2 oz East Kent Goldings Hops (10 min)
2oz Ground Espresso from Starbucks (cold brewed for 24 hours in 12oz water) (secondary)
2 Vanilla Beans (secondary)
2oz Cocoa Nibs (secondary)

I dont know what I was expecting from this but I definitely did not get it. I feel the coffee flavor is slightly overwhelming. It could be the brand I used or that I used espresso. Or maybe I just need to be patient and let it condition longer to mellow out. IDK, lol. Its not my favorite beer but it is definitely drinkable, haha.

My next brew is going to be my first all grain and I am definitely excited about that, should be brewing it next weekend. Im going with an American Wheat. Should be good for the warm weather. Its already 80 degrees today and am in need of a good refreshing beer.

On another plus side, they opened a homebrew store down the street from where I work. Its better than driving 60 miles to the next nearest one. IDK if this is a good thing or bad thing yet, haha. More Brew and Less Money.

I will try to post more often, this seems long and uninteresting, lol
