Hi everyone,

I am trying to reiterate RDWHAHB, but I joined this forum for a reason. I recently bottled my first brew and it was a consistent FG for a few days. 1.014 to be exact. I had less then 5 gallons in my carboy, it was 4.5-4.75 gallons and I used my kits priming sugar (all of it). My bottles carbonated in less then three days should I be worried about over carbonation. Also the head is creamy as well. Need some veteran opinions on this one.

What kind of brew is it? What temp have they been stored at for the past three days? Have you chilled the one you poured overnight at least to have the carbonation set up in the beer or did you just toss it in the fridge for an hour? Did it go flat after 5 minutes?

I would get them down to a fairly cool temp if more than one is showing that kind of activity.

It's an IPA they are in a closet at 70 degrees fahrenheit. That was poured at room temperature. It didn't go flat seemed good amounts of bubbles.

My last batch carbed very fast as well, 5 or 6 days at 60* or so. Kept a nice carbonation level throughout drinking. Been in bottles almost three weeks, no problems so far. I only have about 12 left.

I tried chilling one overnight, the head was way less noticeable. It had tons of bubbles though. I am hoping that the flavors will marry over the next few weeks and mellow out so I can enjoy while I watch the Giants win :tank:

Oh, that will happen.

The beer will improve, I mean, not the Giants winning. :D
