Ive brewed two beers and according to my SWBO they have no flavor. I did a Wit and it has no flavor I did a brown ale and still no flavor. Why am I not getting any flavor?

for the wit i use
White Wheat 4.5lbs
Flaked Oat
Torrified Wheat
RIce husks (for body)
Amylase Enzymes
mash for 60 minutes
add 1.10 lbs LDME
Saaz hops
.5lbs of orange peel
.5lbs or corriander both at 10min
1lb of fireweed honey as well to the boil
let it primary for 10 days kegged it chilled it for a day forced carbed it with a stone let it sit at serving pressure for another day and gave the first pint to the angels and then had another two pulled for SWMBO and she said it was like coors light no flavor Im running into this with the last two beers ive tried is it my corriander needing to be picked up should i add more to the primary as well as the orange peel I love hoegarden and mothership wit i want to brew something like that

Tell SWMBO to back the h*ll off or no more beer for her/him :)

Wit's are lighter flavored beers, they're supposed to be, but they don't taste like Coors Light. Your recipe looks about right, except I suspect you mean 1/2 tbl not 1/2 lb.

You've not said how *you* think it tastes. The recipe you posted will not produce coors light LOL!

i had a similar problem, my first beers where good but lacked flavor. turns out my thermometer was reading wrong. i was mashing at around 145-148 degrees.

It'd try letting them condition a little bit longer. I find all my beers to be a bit weak and watery tasting at first right after they reach carbonation, then the flavors have a chance to pop after another few weeks.

That may have been a problem due to the fact that at the end of the mash i found the MT was at 148 for i dunno how long.

Ill try it out and see if there is a marked improvement

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I have this same issue. I just found that my water is really alkaline. I got my numbers back from Ward Labs and most beers put my mash in the 5.8 range which is too high and can lead to insipid flavors. Might be worth getting your water tested.
