A guy that was in the ROTC program was in the pentagon the day it got damaged in the 9/11 attack. He pulled a few people to safety and was recognized there in DC for it.

Bill Curry lived in my hometown, he was actually my personal trainer in High School. He was the world's strongest man in the 30's or 40's I believe. His son was the coach of U of Kentucky for a while.
