Ok So I just got everything set up for my mash and got out my sparge bag and it has mold on it. Looks like I didn't clean it out as well/dry it enough from the last brew and it grew some mold. I have it soaking in bleach right now. I know this is pretty stupid but is it going to be ok to use after bleaching and cleaning it? Or is it completely ruined?

This beer is being brewed for my friend visiting from the Army and I have to get it brewed today. I would rather not kill anyone though haha

It's all preboil anyways. I'd have probably just rinsed the bag well and dunked it in some starsan

:goat:

That's what I was kinda thinking xD I still bleached it and rinsed it well and now I'm boiling it xD mainly I just don't want pieces of mold to get in my beer. Though at this point it just looks like stains.

I just found an article that said microwaving mold can kill it. found it on ehow.com in a google search.

I had this happen 5 batches ago. I boiled the bag in water, rinsed it, boiled again. It is stained slightly but never had problems in any batch since.
