Gents,

I'm really into WLP001 for my pale ale and IPAs lately. I have really enjoyed the taste, outcome and quality of this yeast with a good starter.

My next endeavor is an American stout which Id like to be somewhat sweet. WLP002 comes highly recommended for a "sweet stout".

I'd like to stay true to what I like (WLP001) while giving this beer a twist and advantage on the sweet side with WLP002. Any objections or experiences mixing yeast in a starter like this?

Thanks in advance.

WLP200 is a combination of both and is sold by More Beer:

Just what you were asking and looking for.

Awesome. Did not know this existed.

I was just reading Palmer's "How to Brew" this week and he mentioned the practice of pitching one yeast and then another to achieve what the OP was asking about. And I was thinking, "that's pretty cool." What's even cooler is to see that it exists in a ready-to-purchase format.:mug:
