Made a Tripel IPA extract from NB, 2.5 gal boil. This was my 5th batch, the other 4 were very straight forward and turned out well. I was within a few pts of both OG and FG for them.
However, for my 5th the recipe stated OG 1.082, but I only got 1.062. It was a different recipe then what I did for the other four: called for adding 3 lbs of LME at the beginning, then 6 lbs 15 min before end of boil. Then 2 lbs of corn sugar after/at the end of the boil. I use an electric stove, so when I added the 6 lbs, I lost the boil and took about 4-5 minutes to come back. (I added these 5 minutes to the total boil time). Likewise the corn sugar brought my temp down at the end of boil so I waited another 2-3 min to get it back up before turning off the heat completely. It took about 40 min to chill to 70 degrees in an ice bath.
Any thoughts on why my OG is off? I used a yeast starter so I'm sure I'll get a decent FG, but the final product will probably be more like a double IPA, not tripel.

I appreciate the opinions/expertise. Thanks for ya'lls help!
