For the record, I brought After School Snacks, Key Sublime, and Nimbly Bimbly....and EVERYONE whom I shared BT beers with at Dark Lord Day.

I’d be interested but I’m busy for the next couple weeks. I can do mid October though . There is usually a group that goes down there on Wednesdays (I think they still do that?) and bottle share a bit there.Seems like there are some good folks around here. Is anyone interested in a meet-up? I haven’t been to Blackstack yet, and I’ve seen a few others here enjoying their stuff. PM me if you’re interested, if I get a decent response I’ll post the details to this thread.
fbslim20 be leery of this dude. He will enter the room with his smoldering good looks, then likely be really nice to you, only to finish the night off by being generous. Wild mind is a good choice from those. WM has some real solid sours. Wooden hill is extremely ok. The 2 he already has on his list are great. Edina is a 1st ring suburb and the city is super accessible from there if he’s willing to go through the effort. Is he looking for liquor stores as well?A buddy of mine is going to be in Edina tomorrow for work, I suggested an Uber into Minneapolis but that didn't sound like it would be possible. So far he's got Town Hall Station and Steel Toe. Anything else he should hit up? Wooden Hill or Wild Mind?

If he’s going to DM there are a ton of other breweries in that area as well, especially fairstate which does everything well. They have a solid sour program and a great hefe and pils (head brewer was at live oak and you can tell).Yeah, he said he’d be up for buying something to bring back home. We convinced him to hit Surly and Dangerous Man and then he’s gonna work his way back to Edina.
He gets in around 4pm and only has the evening.

Liquor stores I’d suggest France 44 or South Lyndale. France 44 is near Edina but has a better selection than any Edina shop does and South Lyndale is about 5 minutes from Wild Mind and has a great selection.
Fairstate Hefe & Pils (Keller Kazbek is a great Keller pils)Thanks! I've bought things from France 44 in the past, didn't know they had a brick and mortar site. Anything he should keep an eye out for in particular?
It’s quite good! Was skeptical as the last few years have been less than great. How's Surly Wet this year? Always fun to see what people outside the PNW are doing with fresh hop beers.

I haven’t liked it since 2011 or so. A lot of really disappointing years. Also helps that it was actually super fresh.Yeah, I've had it a few times over the years and it's always been "meh." Good to know, maybe he'll grab some cans.
Black stack is the move. What's the hot **** on the scene these days? Gonna be there for a bachelor party this weekend and we are staying at an airbnb in Northeast. Will probably be degenerates at dives most of the time, but there is some leeway. Also planning on being at Minnetonka (maybe Excelsior?) one of the days.
In past visits I've hit Modist, Wild Mind, Barrel Theory, Steel Toe, Dangerous Man, Indeed, (old) Surly, and Town Hall.

If you’re going to Minnetonka skip excelsior and go to Back Channel if convenient enough. Grizzly’s is a great beer spot on your way out there as well (depending on route).
How was the trip?Didn't realize there was an Excelsior Brewing Co....I was just throwing that out there bc I think that's where someone in the party has a house/knows someone with a house. But good to know there is a decent option off the lake....and thanks for the other recs! I've done some dive crawls there with the groom and 331 has definitely been ticked but would return. So many to choose from.
