Minimum grain bill for 5-gallon MLT?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on brewing my first partial-mash this Sunday and I'm kind of nervous. I'm brewing this AHS Bavarian Hefeweizen in the mini-mash LME option. I built a 5-gallon MLT with ball-valve and bazooka screen. I plan on batch sparging. Is 3lbs of grain too small of a bill to utilize this 5-gallon cooler?

I do have a giant grain bag...would I be better off using a stove-top straining method with 3lbs of grain?

I would do a BIAB (brew in a bag) with that amount of grain. Less clean clean up.

You might have a problem getting a good grain bed with such a small amount of grain.
