How high will the built in temperature controller on an unmodified 4cf mini fridge go?

Will it go up to 50*F or even 55*F?

I think that I can get mine up to about 50*F. I may be able to get it up higher by playing with the adjustment screw, but I haven't tried.

I can get my danby to 50° +/- a degree or two. Seems to be more consistent at colder temps got it dialed in at a stable 40° after recent defrost (had a stable 38 a few months ago needing a defrost). Adjustments on danby are a total crap shoot, and can take several days to dial in. When I first got the fridge I thought it would be nice to serve some ales warmer, but decided it was too much of a PIMA to keep adjusting. I did mark a dot for 38 even then if it gets a ice build up & needs a defrost (SC humidity) it will be a bit colder. Just curious, you looking for warmer serving temp or a specific ferm temp?

My experience with Danbys is they are all over the place. Some positions on the control are nice and linear then you will reach a spot where just a touch back and forth changes the temp by 2 or 3 degrees. If you want to dial in your fridge temp the best solution is to run a outside temperature controller.

yup, usually takes me a few days of tweaking to get temp right. found my 40° sweet spot and decided to leave it. good balance between carbing and serving temp. just need to up co2 pressure to properly carb at 40. easier to adjust co2 than temp.

I'm having to use my Johnson controller on my new freezer/Keezer, the new controller I ordered DID NOT WORK. Under a lot of SWMBO pressure to decommission the old kegerator in the garage (thieving teenager issues).

AND, I'm brewing a German Amber Lager next weekend. I'll play with the internal temp controller on my fermentation fridge. If I can get it up to 50*F, I'll go for it. WLP830 is good at 50*F to 55*F.
