Has anyone tried this Milwaukee pH56 pH/Temp Meter ph meter?

https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee

I am think about getting a ph meter and thinking about getting this ph meter or the hanna ph meter 98128, any thoughts on which one would be best for homebrewing needs?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085WV6GM/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

I know there are many forms on ph meters, I just want to know the experiences using these two ph meters and if one has an advantage over the other. Both ph meters seem like they have relatively the same specs, the difference is I can get the Milwaukee ph meter fpr cheaper. I just want a ph meter to meet the homebrewing needs and to be reliable and durable (built to last) thank you.

First link doesn't work.

I love Milwaukee meters. I have the big green refractometer and it's awesome and durable! I recently purchased the 102 ph meter and it's very nice. I'd recommend spending that small amount more to get the 102.

ok this is just my opinion i bought the skies the limit ph meter and it works fine it has atc automatic temp control but you should take all of your readings at room temp no matter what again my opinion but to get something realy expensive to me is stupid and the extra money spent wont get you that much in my opinion i did a review of mine and it was the second best for the review i read dont remember where but it does fine and only cost me like 20 bucks you can realy nerd out about everything in home brewing but you dont have to your beer wont know the difference (rdwhahb):mug:

fwiw, I've been using a hanna ph meter 98128 for the last four years and have been satisfied with its performance and availability. the only ding I have with it is the need to keep the electrode dampened with appropriate storage solution, but otoh that's not unique to this meter...

cheers!

I also was looking at the skies the limit ph meter, could you post the link to your review. How long have you had the skies the limit ph meter and how many times have you used it. I have briefly read that some people knock the skies the limit ph meter because with time the ph reading won't stabalize, that it will continue to jump around.

sorry i dont know where i got the review just forget where but i have used it a couple times and seems fine im no expert by far but i just take a small sample out of my mash tun let it cool and take my reading and adjust to well my number is 5.45 but thats just me rinse it off and its a little bit of a pain but use the solution that they tell you to use on all ph meters and store till your next brew as far as what other people say well if i have learned anything on this site and many others is you just have to try things out for yourself a review and an opinion are just that the things i care about another person might go crazy about like buying a cheap ph meter i just want to be in the ball park if im a little off i dont care but tit for tat like i said in the first post you can geek out and get crazy with home brewing if thats your thing im just a chill dude that wants good beer i dont get crazy with it or the equipment i just keep it simple so good luck and keep on brewing :rockin:

i guess time will tell this story if it starts messing up on me i will post all of my findings good or bad so far im happy :mug:

Maybe spend a few extra dollars and buy some punctuation! Holy Hell! :ban:

I am very unhappy with my pH 56. It's been sent back and repaired. I've gone through four electrodes, and had ONE that worked properly. It's been a huge waste of time and money for me, but when I had the one electrode that worked, it did work well.
