i've never milled grains before, but i just ordered the new rebel brewer mill to get started. i've heard that wheat is really tough and have even see some people suggest that it requires a wider gap in the mill. so, what is the general consensus on milling a grain bill with wheat in it? do you compensate for it with the gap, leave it where it normally is, or mill the wheat separately with a different gap?

I personally mill all my grains at the same gap. There are some guys on here who open their gap by, I'm assuming, a couple thousandths. I think it's mainly up to the individual and the mill. When I had my Barley Crusher, I could tell right when the wheat started going through the rollers. However, with the Schmidling, there was no resistance what so ever.
