Just starting all grain brewing, and was wondering what most people use to mill there grain I've talked to a few people who use meat grinders, or meat tenderizers. Do they work or should I continue to look for a grain mill.

I don't know of / never heard of anyone that uses a meat grinder. A regular grain mill that looks a lot like your good ol' meat grinder, sure, but not an actual meat grinder.

If you have a local homebrew store (LHBS) nearby, you can buy grain from them and most stores have a mill in the shop that you can use free of charge. It's a crapshoot if you're going to get a good crush, though, since people screw around with the settings.

If you're on a budget, I'd suggest a Corona (grain) mill. With some moderate tweaking, they work well and they're very reasonably priced. Check out this thread for many, many ideas on how to get them set up.

IMO I would buy a good grain mill. I find this especially important if your lhbs doesn't have a good mill. I found I had mixed results from my lhbs mill when I got inconsistent crushes. Sometimes I would get good efficiencies, sometimes not. It's hard to hit your brewing targets with poor crushes.

I use an old blender with success, others do too. A corona mill is cheap and effective, bigger better grain mills cost more. Choose according to your means and needs.
