metallic taste from brewing in a keg?

i was just wondering if you can pick up a metallic taste from brewing in an old beer keg

iv done some reading and it seems quite a few people use those for brewing

cool because i got in a debate with a buddy whom used to brew but quit a few years back and he said not to use a keg but to use a coated kettle

No one in the industry uses coated metal. Enamelled canning pots were popular at one point for homebrewers because they were cheap. Then home canning died out and the pots got hard to find.
 
yeh i cleaned the hell out of it so far i brewed 3 batches in it and the 2 iv drank seem fine i was just curious

I've only brewed about 6 batches in my keg but don't seem to notice anything. Before I used a stainless 5 gallon pot,
