I've always wanted to get into home brewing, I just needed a push in the right direction. I actually bought all the stuff to start a few years back in San Diego but due to constant deployments, never got around to making the plunge. I was recently stationed back in the Memphis area and everyone I work with homebrews. After hanging out with them on a few brew weekends, I figured I wanted to finally take the plunge. After getting a Coopers DIY kit for christmas from a relative, I made that plunge slowly...just the tip. Those little kits are great confidence builders and make some pretty decent beer. From there, I went to extract brewing and fell in love with everything but DME, damn devil powder!!!!! From there, I did about 15 of those, in around 3 months, and a chance encounter with a more beer brew sculpture on craigslist got me started with the all grain bug. Just finished my second batch yesterday, of course with nothing going right and more issues than national geographic... Still, I can't wait for the next batch!!!!
