What does it mean if after 10 days I still have a huge krausen. Making a belgian golden with wlp550.
 
If you are in a hurry you can start taking gravity readings to determine if fermentation is done. Or just wait longer. If the krausen dries above the surface of the wort it might not fall. Then you would have to rack from underneath.

Some yeasts take longer than others and cooler temperatures will make most take longer.
 
I have had krausen stay at the top before. When I went through it to take a gravity sample it made most of it sink.
