I'm new to making Mead, this is my first batch, I started these on 8/22/18 so about 3 weeks ago one has half water half apple juice and the other is 100%water, other than the yeast and honey of course, I siphoned the apple Mead out of it's original bottle to get away from the stuff that separated from the apple juice, and spilled a bunch, the unflavored Mead has stayed the same color although the apple Mead is about the same color as a dark apple juice now, probably from all the apple juice, both have an odd smell they didn't have before that kinda stings my nose, from a quick Google search I'm thinking it's just the co2 left in the bottles
