Sumo I live in Acton...send me a private message where you guys are in Cambridge and maybe me and my buddies will stop by and brew togeather.

Hey Massachusetts Brewers, I am having a November 1st Halloween get together at my place, there will be some food and some people drinking the beers I have on tap. If anyone is interested in making it send me a PM and I'll give you the details.

Don,
Sorry I missed your post, sounds like a fun time. However, I was spending my time raking leaves and tending to other assorted homeowner activities...

"Honey, did you ever think about selling this place and moving to a condo?"

"What? Get out! What do you mean 'Worth 25% less?" Really? ****, I guess I better get out there and rake some more and make it look a bit nicer."

"Hey Honey, If Obama wins how much will it be worth then?"

"Holy ****! I better get out a paintbrush, too!"

Let me just show you a little of what you missed out on...

Sorry to sound like a prick, but it is one of the few things I do well:

so we missed out on _________________________________:confused:

You do plenty of things well, Hippie. Sure, you may do that particularly well but don't sell yourself short. (FWIW, I'm not seeing any pic's either but i was gonna let it slide as a technical snafu.)

Don't have anything in mind yet, Melana, but you'll here it here first.

I had hotlinked to some pictures that my friend had posted on the internet, unfortunately my friend removed the pictures and the hotlink is no longer valid. I could upload the pictures myself and set it up again, but I don't think anyone would be interested in seeing me wearing a german beer maiden dress... surrounded by 8 girls between the ages of 23 and 30 who all dressed up as slutty ______ (insert whatever here, i.e. bunny, pirate etc.) for halloween.

Anybody close to Watertown Mass. I need someone to try a sample of my first all grain and tell me whats wrong it..It's kinda harsh but I need other opinion..My wife thinks it's really bitter.

Not an expert here, but let's try to sort it out:

How about giving us an idea of ingredients and procedure, and maybe where you may think something may have happened, or you were not sure about?

Is the beer still young?

You've done quite a bit of extract recipes with great luck. Did you use same equipment, other than the AG-specific stuff?

I just saw Sumo at Modern brew in Cambridge. I had to pick up a few things and had a bunch of guys try it. They seem to like it. It might have had an off flavor, but overall, I guess they like it.

Hey guys,
Remember that lambic that I was serving at Masstoberfest? Well I bottled up a few and sent them up to Maine for the NE Regional Homebrew Comp and won a gold medal with it.

Congrats Paul! That is huge man! As I recall you had a few really tasety beers on hand that day not just the Lambic. Congrats again! It is definitly something that we all strive for when brewing. :mug:

So does this mean first round is on you?

Way to go Paul!! And to everyone that didn't care for it, here's mud in your eyes... (even if it is an aquired taste)

Ah that would be me, however you will never get me to drink lambic.. or beets for that matter.. he could have made the yummiest beet pie in the world, and its still beets yuck! But I would still give him props.

Hey guys,
There was a lot of discussion at both Masstoberfest and at the Utopia Brew Day about winemaking. I started a thread here so we can discuss it and perhaps join our resources together and do a group wine crush. There's just something about yeast. Those little barstards get in your blood and you can't look at anything with sugar in it the same way again. All you local aspiring wino's should check it out.
