I'm not sure what you're asking exactly, but when you add the water to the grain, a good amount to use is 1.25-2 quarts of water per pound of grain. Grain will absorb some of that in the mash.
 
I think the question is when calculating the 1.25 qt./lb, should you add an additional .1 gal per # or is the .1 gal/# already in the calculation of 1.25 qt./lb.

OP: If that's the question, I've always added an additional .1 gal/lb when mashing. If not, carry on:p
 
Before. What you get out will be less than what you put in. Don't forget to accomodate for dead space in your equipment. I always add about a half gallon.
