I'm thinking of adding Maple Syrup to my beer after primary fermentation. It feels like I should boil it or something before adding. Do I need to do anything to it before adding, or do I just pour it straight from the bottle?

After cleaning and sanitizing my secondary fermenter, I pour the syrup into that and then rack directly on top of it. I've never boiled it.

If you're worried about whether or not your syrup is contaminated, you could always use a fresh bottle.

Boiling the heck out of it is how maple syrup is made, and it is bottled around 190 degrees F. If your bottle is unopened, your syrup is good to go.
