Mangrove Yeast

Hi everyone
I am going to brew a high gravity (between 1.075 to 1.080) IPA by Manrove jacks M-42 yeast, for making starter formula I need to know about number of viable cells, I read in the producer website and find these information:
(VIABLE YEAST CELLS: >5 x 1 billion cells per gram DRY WEIGHT: 93 – 96%
WILD YEAST: <1 per 1 billion cells
TOTAL BACTERIA: <1 per 1 billion cells)
I don’t know how much viable cells I should base on the formula!

I'm currently reading "How to brew" by John Palmer and he said, generally, a pack offer 100 billion cells and is fine to ferment a 5 gal. batch at 1.040 gravity.
If you make a 1L starter, you can double this number which I think should be more than enough for your beer (I suppose you are brewing a 5 gal.).

PS: I'm a new brewer, a more experienced brewer could maybe offers a better advice.

Yes, it’s 5 gallons batch

One pack is enough for 5 gallons. Two packs would give extra insurance. Three packs or more would be an over-pitch.
