Hey Everyone,

My friend wants me to bring a keg over to his house warming. However the people going are not big on craft beer. I'm wondering any recipes you guys have used for people who drink the general piss variety of beer that still loved the beer you brewed. I want something drinkable that most people can enjoy but I dont want to do just a simple SMaSH recipe. I'm thinking of doing 2row and crystal 10, but is there any suggestions to make the brew a little more interesting?

I was considering doing a 2 row pale malt Smash with centennial hops. I might just do that as i've never done a Smash recipe. It's not until may 10th so i've got a bit of time.

Always a crowd hit for me with the same people. Nice cream ale.

4 lb. Domestic Two-Row malt
3 lb. Domestic Six-Row malt
2 1/2 lb. Flaked Maize
1/4 lb. Cara-pils malt
1 oz. U.S. Hallertauer hop pellets 60 mins
1/2 oz. Cascades hops 10 mins
1/2 oz. Cascades hops 0 mins
US-05

I actually like drinking it myself as well. Pretty good brew. I brew this when we head to the river every year and put it in plastic bottles from the keg. Everybody goes for this beer over the BMC everytime. We save the BMC beers for when we run out of this brew.

I mash at 152. For the recipe I posted. My LHBS sells an extract kit that I got the recipe from. Having made the centennial blond I would still recommend the cream ale I posted. But you won't be disappointed with either.
