I just put my #9 in the secondary, my lhbs suggested that I use essence of apricot instead of the apricot flavoring. I did a taste test to see how strong the apricot flavor is. The flavor is off, more aroma than anything. what I was wondering is if I should add an1/8 or a 1/4 cup of the flavoring to the 5 gal batch. The original recipe called for 1/2 cup of the apricot flavoring.
