I made a starter on Friday, and now on Sunday find I won't be brewing my batch. What is the best way to store it? It is currently in an Ehrlenmeyer flask with foil over the mouth. I have an orange carboy cap that would fit over it too.

Should I just put it in the fridge with the cap, or do I need to transfer to a sterile sealed jar? And what do I do when I need to use it?

If it matters, it is a Czech Pils yeast.

Something came up yesterday so I didn't make it to the LHBS to buy the ingredients for my lager, and I'm going to be away next week too. And once I'm back it'll be too hot to brew, but I'll suffer through that:)

no need to transfer, just put the flask w/foil over the mouth in the fridge until you're ready for it. Should allow you the chance to decant off it & just pitch the slurry.
