M & F Dme?

I've been reading the "Clone Brews" book by the Szamatulski's and virtually all the recipes call for M & F light or extra light DME. I know that the DME stands for the dry malt extract but I can't figure out what the M & F is referring to. Is it Munton's? If so what is the F all about?!

When Clone Brews came out it was M&F...now it's just Munton's, at least in the US.
