I am currently looking for a used 15.5 gallon beer keg that I can convert into a brew kettle. I am in East Mesa, a little outside of Phoenix. I will pick up.

If someone has one already converted with the top cut open, a brewmometer and a ball valve spigot attached that would be great as well. But if not, a plain old used keg will do and I can do the conversion myself. I'd like to keep the price down under $100. Found some on ebay between $45 and $75 but I'd rather not pay for the shipping.

If anyone can help me out or atleast know where I could obtain a keg, please let me know.

Thanks for reading.

I'd go to a scrap yard. I don't need those kegs but get cornies for scrap prices. I always see the big kegs there. Just ask.

Cool, thanks. I didn't even think about that. Another guy told me to check with some liquor stores. He said he paid $75 total for 3 kegs. Thanks for the help.

Well, I found a bunch of people on Craigslist selling kegs but of course, as soon as I am ready to buy a couple my wife's car breaks down and needs some work. Damn! Oh, well. Maybe in a few more months I'll be able to pick up some kegs for keggle conversion.
