I've found that those forums tend to be more condescending to home brewers trying to make the move to pro brewing. It seems that more of them would rather tell any new prospective professional not to bother because it's too much work or costs too much money or ruins your family life. I've even seen one post that basically said 'Sure buy everything you can and start a brewery, I'll contact you in a year to buy all the stuff since your brewery failed'. Not really an inviting way to get a discussion going.
I've seen more open discussion here by those that have gone from brewing in their garage/kitchen/patio to brewing in a small Nano-Brewery. I, for one, would prefer to have open discussions that encourage a potential brewery owner or brewer to discuss what they think or where they are having trouble visioning. This is the only way to ensure that the brewery has a decent chance to succeed.
