Looking for something specific!

Hey guys, I’m looking for something but I’m not sure what exactly it’s called. Currently I have a Spike Solo 20g as my pilot. I also have a hoist attached to my ceiling to lift grain bags. I want to get some sort of chain and hook system to attach to the grain basket and hoist. Anyone know what I could use??

I believe the OP already has the hoist and is seeking recommendation for something to connect it to the grain basket in their Solo...

I picked up a cheap pulley and gambrel kit from Harbor Freight. The gambrel lets you hook up to the handles on the basket more easily, and without the compressive force that you'd have if you just ran a rope between them.

Check sporting goods stores or Amazon for a gambrel that hunters use to suspend large game. I used one with a pulley and lengths of paracord and small carabiners to hook to the handles on my Brew Bucket.

This means you'll have to brew under your grain hoist.

If you can't do that, you can use an 8 or 10 foot folding ladder with a ratchet hoist, S-hooks and carabiners to lift the grain basket out of the pot.

If the Solo is on a table with casters, it could be rolled over to the hoist, as necessary, just for the basket lifting bit.
