Looking for proven recipe

I have done a ton of searches and found a ton of recipes but nothing that's "proven" from people I trust. I trust this forum so hoping someone could share a proven malty red ale with me. Looking for something that has that beautiful red color and that would go well with a swap of the hops for a citrusy hop profile. Trying to create a red citrus ginger ale but want to start with a good red ale base.

For a good proven red. I would start off with a Raging Red the recipe is in the Recipe forum. It is an awesome brew with a big malt backbone.
