So, I'm doing a 1 gallon test batch of a high ABV (9% to 11%) extract wheat beer before I move onto a larger full grain recipe. I plan on doing only late hop additions with additional dry hopping. I'm fairly new to this, so I wanted to make sure my ingredient ratios are not too crazy.
I plan on using these ingredients:
3Lbs Maillard Wheat Malt Extract
0.25Oz Azacca and 0.25Oz Citra @50 minute boil mark
Inoculate with WLP300 Hef Ale Yeast
0.25Oz Azacca and 0.25Oz Citra dry hop for 4 days
I'm most concerned with the dry hop additions as of right now. Will the Citra dry hop be too overpowering considering this is only a 1 gallon batch?
I haven't brewed with either Citra or Azacca so any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
