Hi All,

I need to mount my Regulator in a way that it points um, down? instead of sticking straight out of the c02 tank I want it to face down the side of the tank. I googled for a 90 degree co2 elbow, but I think I need to be a little more specific.

Is what I need a 1/2 inch NPT Elbow?

Any help in finding this elbow would be great.

Thanks

The fitting to connect to the tank is a CGA 320 nipple and nut. On the other end your regulator most likely needs a 1/4" NPT fitting; some of them use left-handed threads and some use right-handed threads for the high-pressure side. What you need is an NPT elbow with male on one side and female on the other (or a male elbow with a coupler) so that you can remove the CGA fitting and screw it onto the elbow.

What brand is your regulator? You'll need to find out if it uses left or right-hand threads. Look closely where the CGA nipple screws into the regulator, does it say "LEFT" or anything similar?

It is a Taprite regulator, I remember when installing it that it was righty tighty so I am pretty sure its got normal threads. Thanks for confirming its NPT, I was just guessing on the size.

Taprite uses left-handed. I'm talking about where the CGA nipple screws into the regulator, not where the CGA nut screws onto the tank. So unless you removed the nipple from the regulator you wouldn't have noticed. You may have a hard time finding a left-threaded pipe elbow.

Thanks again.

I found an elbow, but its 30 bucks, I think it would be cheaper to just mount my CO2 tank outside the keezer or make a collar.
