Long term beer storage in Glass Carboys?

Since I got a 12.5 gallon SS Conical I am not using my carboys but I am running out of kegs. Plan for next batch is to keg 5 gallons and put 5 gallons of fermented clear cold crashed beer in a carboy with bubbler and cold store till I have a keg to transfer to. I have 3 carboys so this would free up 3 kegs so I can have a variety of aged beers on tap. Any comments or concerns appreciated.

Sounds like a perfectly sensible plan, especially stored at cool temperatures.

Glass is perfect for storing still beer under refrigeration.

even though you're gonna be storing them cold, i'm sure you know, but you still want as little headspace as possible. or, if you can, hit them with some co2.
