So I recently expanded my kegging setup and need another check valve for my distributor. Is there any chance that I could find one of these locally at a hardware store, big box store, ect..? Typically I've got no problem shopping online but for such a small hardware item I'd rather just go out and buy it rather than waiting for it to arrive in the mail if possible.

Thanks

P.S.
I live in Seattle but I'm assuming that if you've found them where you're from I can likely find them around here I just don't know where to begin looking.

Might be worth a try... Though if I drive all the way to Everett I'm gonna need another reason to be there. Know of any good places to grab a pint around there?

Also, my only problem with buying this sort of thing from a LHBS is that I always feel like I'm getting bent over on them. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting them when I can and I'll pay a few extra bucks here and there for certain items but some things its just a bit crazy. For example, I bought some hose clamps for a buck a pop at my usual LHBS and I know I could have gone to HD and got them for a quarter a piece (in fact they told me that before I bought them).... not really a big deal, I understand that HD buys those things by the truck load and my LHBS buys them by the case so theres bound to be a price difference. Also, a $0.75 price difference didn't really break the bank but that's a huge percentage increase which makes me think things like check valves might get a bit spendy.

Balefire in Everett (north of Seattle) comes well rated from the cityprofile.com page. I think they are affiliated with HBT. The site, not the bar. I do understand the being bent over by a lhbs. I found that bypassing them altogether is the least expensive route. The lhbs that I have been going to for years was charging me between 43-52 dollars per sack of grain. I found out that Great Western sells the same exact bags for 22.50. Hence a new commercial account. I love this state where a business license can get you into so many wholesale areas.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only shop downtown now is Market Cellar.... Tiny little place with a little old man that works there. Its kinda funny, visiting their website is alot like visiting their store http://www.marketcellarwinery.com/brewing.htm Click around a bit, over half the links are empty and everything is dated beyond belief. I picked up a 6 Gallon bucket there a few months back in a pinch... didn't inspect in figuring it'd be fine. Got it home and the inside was covered in gouges and it smelled like a beer... I never used the bucket, ended up throwing it out.. Cute little place, cute little old guy... but I'm not heading back there again.

Try "The Cellar Homebrew" in North Seattle because there's a HBT member that works there. He's requested not to bring it up when in-store though...hehe

Is it Kevin? The Cellar is my typical go to place. The guys there kick ass.
