How long will LME last in a can? I want to buy some but I'm afraid it will not be good when I go to use it.

I've heard if it's in a can, it can last around a year. However, the longer it sits, the higher chance it gains a tinny or can flavor.

Yea that's all true. I plan on using it with in 6 months.

Immy experiences with canned LME's,the ones like Cooper's & Munton's have a liner that prevents that steel taste. & I've used 2 year old cans. Just get them fresh & keep them in the fridge till use. If the can doesn't have a liner (the really cheap ones),then don't buy them. Even the jugs from midwest & northern brewer, etc last well in the fridge unopened.
