line pressure

I just started kegging and am having difficulty maintaining a stable reading on my line pressure gauge. I have a 2 gauge regulator and for some reason the pressure on the line gauge keeps dropping. I've checked for leaks and can't find any. I've turned the adjustment screw clock-wise at least two full turns and still no increase in pressure. What am I doing wrong?!?!?

Do you have a small ring gasket betweeen the reg and the bottle?

Sounds like a faulty regulator to me. After you adjust the screw tap on it and see if the needle moves.

Remove the hose coming from your regulator to your corny at the corny. Does the pressure stay stable in the line? Are you sure your tank is not empty or really close to it? There has to be a leak on the low pressure side of the regulator. After you have removed the corny leak test all the fittings including the regulator where the gauges come out with some heavy soaped water and look for bubbles.

I do have the ring gasket in place. The needle doen't move immediately after I adjust the screw, but I did notice a slight increase in pressure this morning after adjusting it yet again last night. Could it be that I just had it screwed so far out that it never registered until 3 or so full turns back in? I removed the line from the regulator to the corny and the pressure did stay stable. I checked all the fittings again for leaks and found none. So, was it just a case of first time inexperience?
