I am not using my tap water to brew with, but I use it to wash my equipment.
The day prior to brew day on my new system, I was washing brew pots and rinsing with cold tap water and noticed a ridiculous amount of sediment in the water.
My concern is using this to sanitize my fermenter and any residual.
I rent this townhouse and who knows how the owner will address this.
My only solution is to run my cold water through a 20 micron RV filter.
But this will only catch the big chunks.
Its only a 3 gallon fermenter so as a last resort I could always do a final rinse with clean water from a spray bottle.
I may have to move.
