Hello,
My name is Jonny,
Im an air lock sniffer..Ive been an airlock sniffer for years...
Anywho,I just took a whiff and got nothing but straight gas, instant light head and now I have a bit of a headache.Normally I get a bready, maybe mixed with a little gas smell but this time nearly knocked my socks off.Its 2 days in, in full fermentation. Is this a sign of the yeast crankin away possibly givin me an awesome brew or is it a bad thing that Im getting no breadyness.Ive made the same beer many times and never had it like this CO3Crops..First time using a ferm chamber also us05 at 62. Could it be the perfect stable environment has the yeast goin nuts.
Also,I dumped around 400ML slurry from a jar I had in the fridge for 6 months.I went a little heavy as I wasn't sure about the viability of the yeast.Never used yeast slurry that old before.Guess it was plenty viable
