Hi all,
I'm an IPA lover, but my girlfriend's Mom's birthday is a few months away and she loves michelob ultra (I know, I know). I wanna brew her something very similar to it, but maybe with a subtle twist. Can anyone guide me? Thanks

Don't know if you are looking for a kit or straight recipe, but AHS has an American Premium Lager kit. In their description it says: similar in style to Michelob. I just did this one (lagering ATT) so I can't say how it turned out yet.

do you want an extract or all grain

ah, ok will make this simple, Ultra

5 gallons
use saaz hops for the boil, no hops for anything else
about 14 IBU will do
do a OG of 1.038, maybe a 1/4 pound of 10L chrystal, maybe lesss
lager yeast, an american style

primary for 2 weeks at 58 degrees and then check gravity, it it is finished rack into 5 gallon carboy and lager 2 more weeks, then bottle or keg
I highly suggest forced carbonation because of the low OG

This kit seems like something worth looking at. just wish they listed the ingredients like some other sites do so I could compile them myself

I like your suggestions. I prefer all grain, what base grain should I use with these suggestions?

just figured it out

6.5 pounds 2 row
1/4 pound 10L chrystal

3/4 oz of Saaz at 4.0 AA
mash at 150 60 minutes
boil 60 minutes add Saaz at the start of the boil

that should be as light a Ultra, if not water it down a bit before bottling
