flashbacks of trading heavy just to try some 5 years ago, now it’s just an entry level ba stout
I remember when the swingtops people traded for came out. Then like a week or two later when the swingtops were spread throughout the country people found out they were infected.![]()

The exchange was for RareR Dos. Also infected.I remember when the swingtops people traded for came out. Then like a week or two later when the swingtops were spread throughout the country people found out they were infected.
Sadly I was one of those people who acquired a swingtops that ended up being infected. If memory serves me correct I think Cycle even offered an exchange for a different swingtop beer. I never took them up on it since it seemed silly to ship an empty growler back, have a friend exchange it for the good beer, then ship it back again.
EDIT: weren’t those 500ml swingtops only like $10 too?!? I remember it being VERY affordable by today’s stout standards.

That’s right! I remember not wanted to exchange so I asked for a refund, which I never gotI found an article from late 2013 that talks about the infected batch of Rare DOS. If you purchased infected bottles, you could ask for your money back or get growler bottles of Batch 300. The bottles were $20. JM03 knows this experience a little too well.

I've seen CBS on the shelf a few times this year and thought, "nah, maybe next time."Bell's BBA Expedition Stout is on the shelf at my local store in SC. What a time to be alive.
Yeah, but one of those beers is amazing and the other kinda sucks.I've seen CBS on the shelf a few times this year and thought, "nah, maybe next time."

Yup. And they made a fair amount of it, although you wouldn't know it around here. Lots of 1 bottle limits.Only the third time it's been bottled according to their IG.
