Ok so i did my first AG a week ago. I had some grain and hops left over and am basically going to throw them together and see how it turns out.

2 row
german pilsner malt
biscuit

Hallertau hops
magnum hops

Dont know how much of each i have and im not at home so i cant let you know exactly. Also if ya have any other recipes with some other specialty malts let me know. Just trying to use the left overs so they dont go to waste. Yall help me out and give some recommendations. The more imput the better.

Hey,

Congrats on the first AG.
I would recommend downloading the trail version of Promash. (and buy it if you like it) You can adjust the grain bills and hops to suit your tastes and your supply. Just select a lager or pilsner for a reference - and then see what you come up with. As long as the ABV, IBU and colour are to your tastes -your're on the way. I only have two AGs under my belt and found promash very helpful since I could only order grain by the kilo - and didnt want to waste anything since it was already crushed. You can also adjust the bitterness quite well with playing with boil times.

I am quite sure you can come up with something great.

Cheers.

Sounds like a good idea to me. One of the things I enjoy is experimenting.

I'd want to make sure I had enough to make it worth my while however, it takes about the same about of time to brew 2 gals as 5.

You can also store your hops and grain in the fridge. Seal it up real good use freezer bags.
