Lemon slices

Can I add a few lemon slices to the water pre boil (before steeping grain)... I was thinking for apa.

you can... but if it is preboil, you are merely acidifying your water if anything.

flavor and aroma will be better achieved at the end of the boil to post boil, like a wit.

try marmalade as well... it ferments well and gives a good citrus flavor
