Has anyone tried Legacy hops in a wheat beer? I have been thinking with the BlackBerry and orange flavor it is supposed to produce it may pair nicely. I have my first batch using this hops in fermentation. So have not taisted yet but have lots more to use.
Any insight on it would be great thanks.

I recently bought a pound from hopsdirect, brewed a pale ale with em to test the waters, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! They are very furity, had an aroma and taste of POG (passion orange guava) juice.

Since then I've brewed an IPA with them and centennial but it's carbonating. I think it would be good in a wheat, just don't use a lot they are strong like citra.

I kegged up the Ipa I made with legacy last night.

10.5 lbs 2 row
1.5 lb Munich malt
1 lb crystal 40L

1 oz legacy 60min
4 oz legacy 5min

Pac man yeast

Mashed at 154 60min
Sparged at 170

OG 1.062
FG 1.011

Hydrometer sample had a nice taste. We will see how it is with Co2.

I love Legacy hops. My favorite pale ale I've ever made was all Legacy. I think it would work really well in a wheat beer.

How'd it turn out?
