Hi all,

First post here, but this is my 4th beer and I need some targeted advice :)
I have some leftover ingredients from my previous batches and I wanted to combine them and see what I can get out of this (sort of a mini experiment). So here is the ingredient list:

Mind this is a -very- small batch (1.75 gallons)

1lb Dark DME (leftover)
1lb Dark Brown Sugar (leftover)
1.5lb Light LME (leftover)

half a vial of wlp001 california ale yeast (leftover)

I was thinking of steeping 0.5lb of specialty grain to add some more flavor/body (perhaps c-15? open to suggestions)

According to an online calculator these would give me an OG of 1.089 and expected Alcohol of 8.8%

So the main questions are: what kind of beer would this be :D? which hop variety would fit nicely here? what specialty grain to steep?

Thank you in advance for any replies!
